Mark Engelhardt, Managing Director

Mark Engelhardt is the founder and MD of SEAMS. Mark hails from Adelaide, Australia coming to the UK in the mid 1990's to take up a post-doctoral position at Exeter University. It was during this time that he founded SEAMS. Mark has successfully led SEAMS from start-up to a recognised leading analytics software provider across multiple sectors with some of the largest infrastructure organisations in the world.

Mark Turner, Product Director

As Product Director, Mark leads the development team at SEAMS. He sets the priorities in developing the software to meet the requirements of the users. In order to make EDA the pre-eminent decision support technology, he draws upon 20 years in senior software development positions and is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered IT Professional and Fellow of the British Computer Society. Mark has a wealth of experience at the forefront of developing complex systems for infrastructure, data warehousing and asset management, and has delivered high profile projects for blue chip companies in the petrochemical and telecoms sectors.

John Phillips, Client Director

John has 40 years’ experience in the UK water sector and process industries. As Client Director of SEAMS, he specialises in making correct decisions on the performance of public utilities through the custom application of advanced analytics. John is also a board member of the Institute of Engineering in the United Kingdom.

Daniel Scott, Director of Analytics

Dan leads SEAMS’ Analytics Team and is a dedicated Asset Manager, engineer and leader, who has expertise in the development of complex models, analytics and systems engineering. He brings an innovative and effective approach to problem solving and has a proven record of success across a number of areas including driving innovation utilising analytics, identifying potential efficiencies, promoting stakeholder buy-in, implementing business change and using models to successfully develop and defend business cases. Dan has had substantial success in managing the financial, commercial and political constraints within TfL and Rail & Underground.

Mark Parsons, Director of Growth and Development

A resourceful and outcome-focused business leader and consulting professional with over 20 years’ experience of applying systems thinking, information science and predictive analytics to the management of high value assets.  Mark has extensive experience having previously worked on high-profile, high-value programmes including the UK’s nuclear submarine programme and the Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) Aircraft Carrier programme, and for organisations including the Ministry of Defence, EDF, Lockheed Martin, Network Rail, BP, Shell, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar Land-Rover and the United Nations.

Wayne Barr, Director of Technology

Wayne joined SEAMS in August 2018, where he oversees the Information Technology team as well as the Software Development, Quality Assurance, Support and Operations teams in the delivery of complex asset management solutions. His extensive and diverse career spans 25 years, and has seen him be successful in leading teams in the delivery of high value, mission critical infrastructure services and software programmes for both the public and private sector. Leading global technology teams for Babcock, HP, Bombardier, Hutchinson and Rolls Royce, he has experience in the fields of Information Technology and enterprise software with extensive knowledge of systems in Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance and Telecommunications, and he has also been successful in the design and development of innovative solutions for remotely controlling and tracking vehicle assets.


Mark Berridge, Director of Projects and Programmes

Mark has recently transferred from Arcadis to SEAMS. He is an experienced, pragmatic leader with a background as a highly adaptive Business Transformation consultant with deep knowledge and experience in client service delivery across both the public and private sectors. He has a demonstrable record in building and leading collaborative, successful teams across both a consulting and military career, which together with his ability to manage multi-stakeholder environments enables him to consistently deliver exceptional outcomes.
