1.1 SEAMS takes the privacy of its Customers seriously. Set out below is the SEAMS privacy policy, which governs the way in which SEAMS processes any personal information that the Customer provides. If SEAMS changes the privacy policy for the Website, SEAMS will post those changes here so that the Customer will always know what information SEAMS gathers, how SEAMS may use that information and whether SEAMS will disclose it to anyone.
1.2 The Customer can access the SEAMS home page and browse the site without disclosing any personal data, apart from the information collected by cookies that SEAMS use (see paragraph 5, below).
2.1 Personal information will only be collected with the Customer's consent.
2.2 The Customer’s personal information (which includes name, address and any other details provided by the Customer to SEAMS which identify the Customer as an individual) may be processed by SEAMS.
2.3 SEAMS may disclose or receive personal information or documents about you to/from other companies within the SEAMS group, its authorised carriers and its service providers including Credit Reference agencies.
2.4 SEAMS may be required to disclose personal information or documents about a customer if required to do so by law in the prevention of criminal activities in accordance with UK legislation.
2.5 SEAMS will not disclose your personal information to any third parties without your consent.
SEAMS will take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal information that is held is accurate, complete and up to date.
SEAMS and other SEAMS group companies will use the Customer's personal information for the purpose of administering SEAMS' relationship with the Customer.
SEAMS may also wish to inform Customers of special offers, undertake product or customer research/development and provide other marketing information to the Customer which SEAMS thinks the Customer may find of interest. If a Customer does not wish to receive any marketing information they may request that their details are excluded from any promotional activity by contacting SEAMS at the address at paragraph 8 below.
A small file may be sent by SEAMS to the Customer's computer when the Customer visits SEAMS’ Website. This will enable SEAMS to identify the Customers computer, track their behaviour on SEAMS’ Website and to identify the Customer's particular areas of interest so as to enhance the Customer's future visits to this Website. SEAMS may use cookies to collect and store personal data and link information stored by cookies with personal data the Customer supplies to SEAMS. Save for the use of cookies, SEAMS does not automatically log data or collect data apart from information the Customer specifically provides to SEAMS. The Customer can set their computer browser to reject cookies but this may preclude the Customer's use of certain parts of the Website.
6.1 Notwithstanding paragraph 7 SEAMS cannot guarantee the protection of Customers' personal data transmitted electronically due to the nature of the internet. Customers should be aware that when personal information is disclosed on the internet it may be collected by another user and may result in unsolicited messages from other internet users.
The Customer has the right to request a copy of all the personal information SEAMS holds about them (a small fee may apply) and to have any inaccuracies corrected. Please address requests to SEAMS at the address in paragraph 8 below.
